12th year anniversary
Trip Advisor

The Tamang Heritage Trail is the newly opened trekking route in Nepal Himalaya. We have been researching this region since 2004 and it is by far our ‘Favorite little spot for walk’. The trail are easy- going route through perfect mountain scenery. It offers a great general overview to the Himalaya and its cultures, and is very easy to access from Kathmandu. There are also incredible views of Tibetan, Langtang and Ganesh Himal ranges. The trail passes through traditional Tamang villages such as Gatlang, Thuman, and Briddim, where visitors can observe centuries-old customs, wood-carved architecture, and vibrant attire. You can also enjoy natural hot springs, in Tatopani village, believed to have healing properties. Note that some springs were affected by the 2015 earthquake, though community pools remain functional. Nagthali Ghyang (3,165m) is the highest point on the standard heritage circuit, offering 360-degree views of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, and peaks in Tibet. The trail features numerous ancient Buddhist monasteries, chortens, and mani walls.

The Langtang Valley Trail is with the great peak of Langtang Lirung (7246m) dominates the upper valley and straddles the Tibetan border, in spring to spot the various birds and blooming of flower makes the trip more beatifies the trek. Our itinerary also combines with the holy lake of Gosainkund, a pilgrimage place of Hindu religion. As per a legend, Shiva, Hindu god once swallowed all the poison to save the world and to quench his thirst he happened to be here. The trail goes through tropical forest and by evening put you in the middle of a freezing alpine landscape. Stunning views of Langtang Lirung (7245m), Ganesh Himal(7146m) and Dorje Lhakpa(6990m) peaks are the reward for the trekkers.
